When the Underground Calls You Home
Our trip to Florida was never about playing a big public event or standing on a massive stage. It was about something much more meaningful. On May 16, 2026, Jenna Marie and I had the incredible honor of performing at a very private underground event in Homosassa, Florida, surrounded by close friends who have become like family over the years. There were no flyers, no advertisements, no event pages, and no public promotion. This was an intimate gathering built on friendship, trust, and a shared love for underground electronic music. Originally, this trip was supposed to happen back in January, but life had other plans. I promised our friends we would make it out, and keeping that promise made finally being there even more special.

Green Skittles and the Meaning of Hospitality
Before we even left Colorado, Disco Dave and I were joking about artist riders. He asked me what was on mine, and anyone who knows me knows I have never been someone who uses contracts or ridiculous demands. I laughed and remembered hearing the famous story about an artist who supposedly wouldn't perform unless they had a bowl filled with only brown M&M's. So, completely joking, I told Dave that my rider was a bag of nothing but green Skittles. We both laughed, and I immediately told him I was kidding. The moment Jenna and I arrived at Dave and Michaela Foley's home, the very first thing they handed me was an entire bag filled with nothing but green Skittles. I was honestly speechless. It wasn't about the candy. It was about the thought, the effort, and the kindness behind such a simple gesture. They actually took the time to separate the green Skittles just because of a joke between friends. That moment perfectly summed up the kind of people they are. Their hospitality is truly unmatched, and from that very first moment until the day we left, they made us feel like family.

Time Standing Still
As the days went by, it became one of those rare experiences where time seemed to stand completely still while somehow moving faster than ever. It honestly felt like we had only just arrived before we found ourselves packing our bags to return home to Colorado. Every moment was filled with laughter, stories, hugs, smiles, and unforgettable memories. Jenna Marie and I were treated with so much love and respect that words honestly struggle to describe how grateful we are. They made us feel like royalty throughout the entire trip, and we will cherish those memories for the rest of our lives.
Florida Legends: Finally Face to Face
One of the greatest parts of the experience was finally meeting so many people in person after years of knowing each other through social media and The-Lost-Art.com. Friendships that had existed online for years instantly became even stronger face to face. It was an incredible honor to finally meet so many Florida legends and longtime friends including Axelito Deejay, Rob Cokeless, JB Thomas, CruDawg, Albert Ciavolino, Gary "Jefe" Gitlin, DJ HOL1FYR3, Andre Elektro Morales, David Noller, Jorge Luis Castellanos, Steve Allred, and so many others who welcomed us with open arms. Meeting Nicole Dodman, Sean Michael Dodman, and their son Tristan after so many years was another incredibly emotional moment that meant more than words can express. Tony Rizo reminded us once again why he is such a special person, making everyone around him feel important with his warmth and genuine heart. Sitting with Axel V inside what I jokingly call his "Spaceship of Boom" was another bucket-list moment I will never forget. He has become family to both Jenna and me, and always will be. Jaime Arturo gave us an amazing interview that helped preserve another chapter of our journey, and finally getting to hug Lawkitty Tiffany after knowing each other for so long was another memory we will always treasure.

The Show: Underground Culture Alive
The show itself reminded me why I fell in love with underground dance music decades ago. It wasn't trying to recreate the warehouse culture of the 1990s. It simply was that culture. Everywhere you looked there were smiles, hugs, conversations, and people genuinely enjoying one another without egos or competition. Every DJ brought incredible talent, every set told its own story, and the atmosphere was built entirely around love, respect, and the music itself. It was one of the closest experiences I have had in years to those unforgettable underground warehouse parties that helped shape so many of our lives. Florida has something truly special, and the passion within its underground scene is impossible to ignore.

Looking back, this weekend wasn't simply another DJ booking. It became one of the most meaningful experiences Jenna Marie and I have ever shared together. It reminded us that friendships built through music can last a lifetime and that the underground scene is still alive because of people who genuinely care about one another. We owe an enormous thank you to Disco Dave, Michaela Foley, and everyone who welcomed us into their family and made us feel so loved throughout our stay. Thank you for the memories, the music, the laughter, and an experience we will carry with us forever. Florida truly knows how to do the underground right, and we already cannot wait until the next time our paths cross again.
