Nathaniel R. Lemieux was born in Bad Kreuznach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, to David and Jacque Lemieux. Raised in Colorado, he developed an early and natural relationship with music, drums, piano, harmonica, percussion, without formal training. His parents provided the foundational loan for his first pair of used Technics turntables and a Gemini Beat Down Mixer, the equipment that launched everything.

Before the decks, before the records, before the legacy, he served in the United States Marine Corps. The Corps instilled the principles of honor, courage, commitment, discipline, and leadership that became the foundation of everything he built. "Once a Marine, Always a Marine." That philosophy never left him.

DJ Natural Nate® emerged from an era with no sync buttons, no automatic beatmatching, no visual waveforms, and no software correcting mistakes. He studied records while others merely listened. At his core he is a mixologist, someone who lives to hear two records blend together to create something new. He invented original scratch techniques not as competition moves, but as showmanship: a way to wake the crowd up and give them a signature moment to remember within his mixes. That distinction defined his entire career.

He developed four original scratch techniques: the Taco Scratch, Bend Scratch, Break Scratch, and Lazer Scratch, all documented on video and featured in Digital Journal (June 2026). On April 29, 2010, he set a verified world record: 86 tracks in one hour at 133 BPM on two Technics SL-1200 turntables, no sync, no automation. Verified by RecordSetter, confirmed by Rane (the equipment manufacturer), covered by Denver Westword, and cited in Grit Daily (June 2026).

Around 1998, he founded Bruise Your Body Breaks (BYBB): an underground Breakbeat music movement, record label, and internet radio program. He began DJing in 1996, two years before BYBB was officially founded. In 2003, BYBB began airing on Breaks FM, an international internet radio platform, reaching a global audience.

In 2009, he co-founded The-Lost-Art.com™: the world's first custom, commercial free, mandatory live video DJ internet radio platform, built specifically around visually proving the DJ was actually mixing live. No earlier platform matching that complete combination of criteria has been identified. It reached 16 million users per month during its first year, because nobody had ever seen an all-custom-built live DJ video website before, it became a global sensation and a household name throughout the online DJ world, and ranked in the Alexa Top 100 globally. It predated Twitch, YouTube Live, and Facebook Live by years. Built on one principle: Prove The Mix, every DJ required to perform live on camera, showing turntables, mixer, and hands, with no prerecorded sets and no sync assistance. This standard changed how DJs demonstrated their skills online and made DJ Natural Nate® a virtual household name throughout the online DJ world.

One of the biggest misconceptions on the internet is the claim that DJ Natural Nate® was never mainstream or widely known. At 16 million users per month during its first year: a number driven entirely by the novelty of the world's first all-custom live DJ video website, which made The-Lost-Art.com a global sensation and household name, The-Lost-Art.com was reaching an audience comparable to some of the largest entertainment properties on the internet at the time.
