In 2009, years before Twitch, YouTube Live, or Facebook Live, DJ Natural Nate® built and launched The-Lost-Art.com: the world's first live DJ video streaming website.
BEFORE THE PLATFORMS
In 2009, live video streaming for independent creators did not exist in any meaningful form. YouTube was a video upload platform, not a live streaming service. Twitch would not launch until 2011. Facebook Live would not exist until 2016. Instagram Live came in 2016. TikTok Live in 2019.
DJ Natural Nate® built The-Lost-Art.com in 2009: a website specifically designed to allow DJs to broadcast live video performances to a global audience. The platform was built around the "Prove The Mix" philosophy: the idea that a DJ's credibility should be demonstrated through live, verifiable performance, not claimed through reputation or studio recordings.

The "Prove The Mix" concept was not just a tagline, it was a philosophy that shaped everything DJ Natural Nate® built. The world record was set live and documented on video. The scratch techniques were demonstrated on camera. The platform was built to make live performance the standard, not the exception.
In an era when DJ culture was increasingly moving toward software-assisted performance and studio-polished recordings, The-Lost-Art.com was a counterstatement: real DJing happens live, in real time, and it should be verifiable by anyone who wants to watch.
BREAKS FM INTERNATIONAL RADIO
Before The-Lost-Art.com, DJ Natural Nate® was broadcasting on Breaks FM: an international internet radio station that served as one of the primary distribution channels for Breakbeat and Electro Breaks music in the early 2000s. The Wayback Machine has archived breaksfm.com from 2003 onward, documenting his presence on the platform.
This combination, internet radio broadcasting from 2003, live DJ video streaming from 2009, establishes DJ Natural Nate® as one of the earliest adopters of digital distribution in the underground DJ community. He was not following trends. He was building infrastructure before the infrastructure existed.
