The Story Behind White-Label Vinyl: 10 Custom Pressings
DJ Natural Nate® VS Jiggabot pressed ten custom white-label vinyl records through Bruise Your Body Breaks and The-Lost-Art.com. These are unreleased test pressings, made for shows, never commercially distributed, never put on streaming platforms, never uploaded to Beatport. Every release in the catalog was approached with the same mindset: press it to white label, keep it exclusive, and let the music live on the dance floor where it belongs.
White labels are show-exclusive. That is the entire point. If you were not at the show, you cannot own the music. These records do not exist on Spotify. They do not exist on SoundCloud. They exist on vinyl, in the hands of the people who were there, and that is exactly how DJ Natural Nate® and Jiggabot intended it. The white label is not a format. It is a statement about what music is worth and who it is made for.
There is also a large archive of unreleased WAV files, productions that were completed, mastered, and pressed to vinyl but never released digitally. Not everything should be released. That principle has guided this catalog from the beginning. Some music is made for the dance floor and stays there. The white label pressing is the physical form that honors that principle: a record that exists only in the moment it was made for.
Every release in the DJ Natural Nate® VS Jiggabot catalog was approached with this same white-label mindset. The pressings were produced for DJ performance use, cut for large sound systems, built for Technics 1200s, designed to be mixed in real time in front of a crowd. The tactile reality of vinyl: the weight of the record, the needle in the groove, the physical act of playing it, is inseparable from what these recordings are.
Bruise Your Body Breaks and The-Lost-Art.com are the two pillars of this operation. Bruise Your Body Breaks is the production and release vehicle. The-Lost-Art.com is the community and performance platform. Together they represent a self-contained independent infrastructure that has never required a major label, a major distributor, or a streaming platform to function. The white label pressings documented here are the physical embodiment of that independence, artifacts of a live performance culture that deliberately operates outside the digital economy.
